The Learning Community will host “Changes to Medicaid Enrollment Policies: What Do They Mean for Your Community?” as the third learning event in the Social Determinants of Health series on Wednesday, April 19th, 2023 from 12:00 – 1:00 pm ET. States have had to maintain Medicaid coverage for most enrollees since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, but the “continuous enrollment” requirement ended on March 31st and states have begun to redetermine eligibility for Medicaid. Recent estimates indicate that around 18 million people could lose coverage during this 14-month process. At this learning session, Urban Institute panelists will explain how Medicaid redetermination works and, what Medicaid enrollees must do to maintain coverage if eligible.
